Welcome to Von Benja Rottweilers where our dogs are our passion and not a business. We are a small hobby breeder located in beautiful upstate New York and have owned Rottweilers since 1991. We do not own or have a kennel. All of our dogs are members of the family and as such live in the house. Our puppies are raised in the home where they experience the sights, sounds and smells they will experience in their forever homes. We are a Code of Ethics breeder belonging to both the American Rottweiler Club and the Colonial Rottweiler Club since 1996, the New England Rottweiler Fanciers since 1999, the Gulfstream Rottweiler Club since 2000, and we are also a member of the Saratoga New York Kennel Club. We are involved in AKC conformation, obedience, rally and therapy and have exciting and wonderful memories from each venue.

In conformation our most thrilling times have come from a puppy from our Bovine litter, CH Von Benja's No Bull, aka Noah, who earned his AKC championship in just 8 shows and was awarded Best Puppy in Show the same day as his championship. At barely 12 months of age, Noah went on to be named the 2009 Medallion Rottweiler Club's Grande Prize Futurity Winner at their 50th Anniversary Specialty.

I have been involved in obedience since 1991 when I purchased my first Rottweiler. I have been a member of the Schenectady Dog Training Club since 1993 having served on the Board of Directors and as an Assistant Instructor. I am very proud to have personally put at least an AKC Companion Dog title on every Rottweiler I have owned. At age 11 and the oldest one entered, our boy Noomar's Beckon Von Benja CDX TDI took first place in the Veteran Class at the 2006 American Rottweiler Club Specialty bringing tears to the eyes of many at ringside.Keeva

We have had wonderful therapy dogs too. We were honored to have had a special girl named Keeva who, in 1999, was awarded the very first Colonial Rottweiler Club's Volunteer of the Year Seger Medallion for her work as a registered therapy dog. Additionally, Keeva was awarded five American Rottweiler Club Volunteer of the Year Mirko Medallions and earned a Colonial Rottweiler Club Gold Achievement Award.

I was drawn to this breed for their noble appearance, their intelligence, their working ability, protective nature and wonderful sense of humor. No matter where their talent lies, all of our dogs are cherished members of our family. When placing puppies, we expect no less for them from our puppy owners. But the Rottweiler is not a dog for everyone. We encourage you to learn as much about the breed as possible before bringing one into your home and suggest the American Rottweiler Club at www.amrottclub.org and the Colonial Rottweiler Club at www.colonialrottclub.org as a start.

We hope you enjoy our website. For information on upcoming litters or questions about the Rottweiler, please contact:
